Mamma Vittoria’s has been crafting and serving authentic Italian cuisine and Pizza on Smith Street, Fitzroy for over 30 years, building up a rich heritage of culinary knowledge and a passion for Italian food that has passed down through the generations. Originally opened by (Mamma) Vittoria Tonin in 1982, the iconic restaurant has long been known for great hospitality and honest, delicious food.
Our menu is inspired and informed by the traditions of both southern and northern Italy, mixing timeless classics with our own original creations. From the more complex and refined dishes of the north, through to the robust and rustic plates of the south, we offer a real taste of the old country.
We hand pick all of our produce locally and make our own breads and pastas in our kitchen so you always get quality ingredients and fresh food. Our wood-fired oven is not only used to cook mouth-watering pizzas, such as the Prosciutto E Rucola, but also for plates to share, like the Marinated Wood-Roasted Vegetables. As well as making our own pastas and special sauces we offer a versatile menu of tender meat dishes, such as the Padova Style Slow-Roasted Lamb Shoulder, fresh seafood plates, desserts and a good selection of wine and flavoured Grappas.
